The Kids Are Alright

Take a look at my Daily Photo

mmmmm

Here's hoping everybody had a great Christmas and is enjoying their Boxing Day. We had a great day here yesterday, with the seven-year-old still very much a believer and the two-year-old really getting into it for the first time (though he was slowed down later in the day with a slight fever). Any Christmas that starts with Santa's milk being replaced by EggNog is a good one.

Today the two-year-old and I are taking it easy while the missus and the seven-year-old try to spend all their gift cards at early-bird post-Christmas sales.

In addition to leaving the traditional milk and cookies, our six year old left a note for Santa asking him who he voted for and whether he celebrates Hannukah as well as Christmas. Either we're raising him just right, or we're messing his mind beyond repair...

Who Santa voted for - that's pretty funny. I'm guessing that, Santa being from the North (Pole), he voted blue. Frostbite blue. Tho' he does look a lot like the Dukes of Hazzard's Uncle Jesse. And we know that the Duke family voted for Bush.

It reminds me of the SNL skit where Al Franken did Paul Tsongas at a Star Trek Convention, "I don't want to be Santa Claus. Bill Clinton wants to be Santa Claus, okay? I want to be Captain Kirk."
